Admissions Testing

The placement test is administered by the Professional Assessment Center (PAC).  The PAC Center is located in Building G on campus.

Applicants must take the required ACCUPLACER or ASSET placement test or submit satisfactory SAT I or ACT test scores. Test scores will be considered valid for a period of five years. CLICK HERE FOR FREE ACCUPLACER PRACTICE WEBSITES or download the Accuplacer app from your Apple or Android Play Store.  To schedule your first test or retake the Accuplacer, ACCUPLACER® Exams, Atlanta Fire Rescue Department, Atlanta Police Department, CLEP Exams, Distance Learning Exams, FCC Element Exams, GED Testing, Georgia Department of Transportation, HESI-A2 Exam, Official Score Request, P.O.S.T. Entrance Exam (Law Enforcement Candidates Only), Pearson Vue, and PSB Exam test CLICK HERE.

Satisfactory scores on the SAT I, ACT, ASSET, or ACCUPLACER placement test or a grade of C or better from an accredited post-secondary institution in English and math level 100 or higher. Algebra placement test scores are required for certain diploma programs and all degree programs. Test scores are considered valid for placement for a period of 5 years.

Interested in Testing to Obtain College Credit?

The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) covers intro-level college course material in 33 subjects.  A passing score on just one CLEP exam can save you 100+ hours of class time, coursework and money toward tuition.

To register for the CLEP exam, you must first purchase a CLEP voucher ($87).  After you have obtained your CLEP ticket number, you may schedule and pay your $25 proctoring fee on our website by clicking here.

How Do I Obtain an Official Copy of My Test Scores?

There are two ways to request an official copy of your test scores:

In-person:  Please visit the Testing Center with your government-issued ID and complete the Official Score Request Form.  There is a $5.00 fee (payable at the Cashier’s window- Bldg B).

Online:
Go to www.registerblast.com/atlantatech and select “Official Score Request” in Step 1. Follow the remaining prompts by entering all requested information.  You will be prompted to pay $6.50 ($1.50 processing fee added to online payments).
