Afolabi Giwa II, an automotive technology student, has won the Bryant A. Lee Memorial and BMW Scholarships. Giwa, who is passionate about becoming successful in every area of his life, is grateful to the Bryant A. Lee Family for its investment in him.
“I would like to thank Mrs. Lee for offering this scholarship opportunity to students,” Giwa said. “It has truly been a blessing and help toward my efforts as a student here at Atlanta Technical College.”
The BMW and Bryant Lee Memorial scholarships have aided Giwa in practical ways. “The scholarships are helping me afford many of the professional grade tools I need for my career,” he said. “They have also given me the opportunity to purchase necessary replacement parts, so that I can finally perform much needed services and long overdue repairs on my personal vehicle.”
Giwa hopes to maintain his current 4.0 GPA, graduate from Atlanta Tech in the spring with a diploma in automotive technology, and obtain a position as an automotive technician. “I would like to thank the ATC faculty and staff for all their efforts and encourage my fellow students to complete their education and vigorously pursue their dreams.”
