Atlanta Technical College President Honored as one of the 2019 100 Women of Influence

ATLANTA (October 3, 2019) –  Dr. Victoria Seals, President of Atlanta Technical College (ATC), has been named as one of the 2019 100 Women of Influence in Atlanta by the Atlanta Business League.  This distinction is reserved for impactful women working in fields such as education, politics, and business.

“To be named among women of this caliber is a great honor,” said Dr. Seals. “I am pleased to represent Atlanta Technical College and uphold our mission of transforming lives through the power of technical education.  The students in our communities deserve every chance to fulfill their dreams and we will keep providing opportunities for educational and economic success.”

Dr. Seals is a graduate of Spelman College and attended the University of Georgia, where she received her M.A. in mathematics, an Ed.S. in mathematics education, and an Ed.D in educational leadership.  After working as an instructor for Athens Technical College and as Dean and Vice President of Academic Affairs for Gwinnett Technical College, Dr. Seals joined the ATC family in 2016 and has provided great leadership ever since.

Founded in 1984, the Women in Business Committee of the Atlanta Business League has been dedicated to interact and raise awareness of African-American women business owners and professionals within the city of Atlanta.  Some of the other honorees this year include Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Stacey Abrams, Venessa Harrison, Dr. Mary Schmidt Campbell, and Dr. Belinda Johnson White.
