Atlanta Technical College Welcomes New Members to the Foundation Board of Trustees
Mr. Michael Watson is a graduate of Grambling State University. He currently serves as a Financial Advisor for Northwestern Mutual. He has previously worked for Merrill Lynch and Bank of America.
Dr. Maurice Jenkins completed his undergraduate studies at Howard University, completed his graduate studies at Clark Atlanta University, and received his Doctorate of Humane Letters from Allen University. He currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer for the UNCF. He has previously worked for Wachiovia Bank, and has served his community in multiple roles while affiliated with many ogranizations, including the YMCA Centennial Branch, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, and serving as chair and board member of MEA.
Mr. Al Carter is a graduate of Paine College and received his MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves as the Managing Director of the ACA Management Group, as well as the President and CEO of Kalloren Provel, LLC. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Harvard Business School Club of Atlanta and the Atlanta School, as well as the Finance Committee Chair for the Paine College National Alumni Assocation.
“The Foundation has long been the backbone of Atlanta Technical College’s fundraising efforts, and has always found new and innovative ways to support the College and our students,” said Dr. Victoria Seals, President, ATC. “These newest members are just a few examples of the many industry leaders who have given some of their time and energy towards helping the College remain relevant as a pillar in the Metro Atlanta community.”
The Atlanta Technical College Foundation was founded in 1999 under the leadership of chairpersons Joseph Johnson and Carolyn Young. A 501(c)3 non-profit, The Atlanta Technical College Foundation’s mission is to provide support to Atlanta Technical College and the programs and activities carried out by the College. Its purpose is to acquire, retain, invest, and administer funds exclusively for the benefit of Atlanta Technical College. Since its inception, The Atlanta Technical College Foundation has focused on the major goals of resource development, relationship building, and financial management of resources.
