Enrollment Services Forms

The Enrollment Service’s Office provides an important link between academic policies of Atlanta Technical College and our academic departments and students. This office is responsible for assisting with registration, evaluating transcripts, issuing transcripts and enrollment verification, and the graduation application process and services. The office of the Enrollment Service offers information and resources for current students, prospective students, faculty, and staff.


It is also the responsibility of the Enrollment Service’s Office to maintain accurate and secure records. For the protection of student’s rights to privacy, the Enrollment Service’s Office ensures the College’s compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.

Registration Instructions for Current Students

  1. Go to: www.atlantatech.edu
  2. Select: My ATC
  3. Select: Banner Web
  4. Login with your Network ID and current email password. The network ID is the first part of your email, i.e. “jdoe”@student.atlantatech.edu. Network ID: jdoe

If you register late you will be charged an additional $45.00 late registration fee.

Withdrawal

Students can withdraw his/herself from classes utilizing the BANNER student portal. Students can withdraw from all but their final class using the BANNER student portal. Students must report to the Registrar’s Office to withdraw from their final class. Students wishing to withdraw from their last call, only class or all classes must complete the Official Withdrawal form which can be found here. If a student registers and never attends class (no-show) but does not formally withdraw from class, the student is liable for all class fees and associated expenses.

Students having an emergency situation such as illness, accident, or death in the immediate family should contact the Registrar’s Office soon as possible. A Stop Payment on a check does not constitute a formal withdrawal nor does it cancel the student’s financial obligation.

An outstanding balance consisting of these fees plus a returned check fee will still be owed to Atlanta Technical College. A “Business Office Hold” will be placed on the student’s record. Students with a Business Office Hold on their record will not be permitted to register for further coursework, receive financial aid, receive or have forwarded to external third parties any transcripts of grades until the financial obligation has been paid.

Transfer Credit Evaluation

A student requesting an evaluation of a previous institution(s) course(s) for possible transfer credits may complete and submit a Transcript Evaluation Form. Once the form is completed turn it in to the Registrar’s Office. Please allow up to 4 weeks for processing of request forms. You will receive final results via US Postal Mail.

Transcript Request

The Enrollment Service’s Office charges a processing fee of $5.00 for each official transcript requested by a student. Transcripts can be requested via the world wide web utilizing the web address below. Unofficial transcripts are available on the Web. For instructions on obtaining an unofficial transcript, please contact the Enrollment Service’s Office.

A transcript will be mailed to the recipient via regular 1st-class US Mail within 3-5 business days. Atlanta Technical College days of operation are Monday-Thursday. However processing time for archived records (students who attended prior to 1998) will be extended. During peak periods (i.e., commencement, registration, end of quarter processing), we may not be able to honor the 3-5 days processing time.

Enrollment Verification-3rd Party Verifications

Atlanta Technical College has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide enrollment and degree verifications. The National Student Clearinghouse can be contacted as follows:

Introducing Student Self-Service – you can now print enrollment verification certifications and your enrollment history securely from Banner Web. This service is available 24/7.

If you have an extreme emergency that requires an Enrollment Verification before one is available via the clearinghouse, please stop by the Registrar’s office.

Enrollment Status

A degree, diploma, or certificate student who is registered for at least 12.0 quarter credit hours is considered to be a full-time student. Enrolling for fewer hours for a particular quarter may affect eligibility for financial aid or veterans’ benefits and enrollment certification. CEU credit hours are not included in the student load calculation.

  • 12.0 or more credit hours = full-time enrollment status
  • 11.0 to 6.0 credit hours = half-time enrollment status
  • Less than 6.0 credit hours = less than half-time enrollment status

Graduation

Your program completion is near and it is time to apply for your graduation. The staff at Atlanta Technical College is proud of your accomplishments and welcomes this opportunity to assist you in achieving your educational and career goals. Applying for graduation is the first step.

* Please note: students must apply for graduation to be awarded program completion and for resulting graduation status to be indicated on academic transcript.

In order to be eligible for a degree, diploma, or technical certificate of credit, your must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Complete the required courses in the program of study for which you are applying to graduate, as prescribed by the course catalog specific to the term you were admitted under. Students taking off more than two quarters will be entered under a new catalog term. Course substitutions must be approved by the program coordinator, academic dean, or Executive Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs.
  • Be in good academic standing, have a graduation grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 and have a “C” in all courses that apply toward graduation.
  • Complete a minimum of fifty percent (50%) of the coursework required for the major at Atlanta Technical College.
  • Satisfy all financial obligations to the college and be free of any holds on your academic record.
  • Complete the application by the end published deadline for the quarter for which you are applying to graduate, follow all instructions on application, and submit the completed form to the Registrar’s Office. Students wishing to participate in a commencement ceremony and/or receive their award/certificate will be required to pay a $40.00 fee.
  • Students completing diplomas and associate of applied science degrees with a graduation GPA of 3.50 or better will graduate with honors.

FERPA

FERPA is the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, also known as the Buckley Amendment. Statute: 20 U.S.C. 1232g; Regulations: 34CFR Part 99. The intent of the Act is to protect the rights of students and to insure the privacy and accuracy of education records. The Act applies to all institutions that are recipients of federal aid administered by the Secretary of Education.
