Director of Small Business Development Center
Dan Brown is a highly motivated leader striving to continue to provide quality training, resources, and motivation for our future entrepreneurs. Since arriving at Atlanta Technical College in 2015, he has become a self-published author, podcast developer, and industry consultant. In 2017 he formed Shear Over Comb Consulting LLC, a consulting company bolstered by innovative online classes and mobile applications geared toward helping aspiring professionals in the barber and beauty industry. His dedication to his craft culminated in 2021 with the honor of being named Atlanta Technical Colleges’ "Teacher of the Year," as selected by his colleagues. In that same year he was also appointed to the Georgia State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.
He strives to embody all aspects of the college’ mission and vision statements, always emphasizing that “what we do here is transformational, not transactional…. Success isn’t by accident; be intentional and build winning habits.”
