Atlanta Technical College will hold its annual commencement ceremony at the Georgia International Convention Center on Monday, May 7, 2018. Beginning at 11 am, Mr. Rodney D. Bullard, Vice President of Community Affairs at Chick-Fil-A, Inc., will serve as the keynote speaker.
“We are thrilled to be celebrating another successful year at Atlanta Technical College by sending over 1,700 students into the workforce with world-class credentials,” said Dr. Victoria Seals, President, Atlanta Technical College. “These students are passionate about their chosen careers and I’m confident they will reach new heights as they begin this exciting new chapter in their lives. We are truly blessed to have the opportunity to impact our students and I look forward to seeing all they accomplish after they walk across the stage.”
This year, Atlanta Technical College will graduate 1,734 students. The Class of 2018 consists of 282 Associate’s Degree, 301 Diplomas, and 1,149 Technical Certificates of Credit recipients.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have Mr. Bullard as our keynote speaker,” said Dr. Seals. “He has distinguished himself as a leader that our students can look up to. I know he will bring an inspirational message that will benefit all of our graduates, as well as their friends and families.”

Rodney D. Bullard is the Vice President of Community Affairs at Chick-fil-A, Inc., and Executive Director of the Chick-fil-A foundation. He leads the company’s corporate community and philanthropic strategy, which is focused on fostering youth and furthering their educational opportunities. He has been proud to serve in previous roles with the US Air Force, NASA, and the US Department of Justice. A worldwide speaker, Rodney is an alumnus of the Air Force Academy, Duke Law, University of Georgia, and Harvard Business School.
His first book, Heroes Wanted: Why the World Needs You to Live Your Heart Out, is available wherever books are sold. Rodney and his wife, Silvette, have one son and make their home in Atlanta, Georgia.
