REACH Georgia is a need-based youth development and scholarship program with specific financial, academic, and behavior eligibility requirements. The purpose of the REACH Program is to increase the academic persistence and achievement of Georgia’s middle and high school students and to increase college access and success for Georgia’s low-income and underserved populations. Georgia’s HERO Scholarship Program provides educational scholarship assistance to members of the Georgia National Guard and U.S. Military Reservists who served in combat zones, and the children and the spouses of such members of the Georgia National Guard and U.S. Military Reserves. The Georgia Public Safety Memorial (GPSM) Grant provides grant funds to the dependent children of Georgia Public Safety Officers who were permanently disabled or killed in the line of duty. Funds may be used towards the cost of attendance at eligible colleges, universities, or technical colleges in Georgia. The HOPE Scholarship Program is for students that have demonstrated academic achievement and that are seeking a college degree. There are several ways to become eligible for the HOPE Scholarship, either by graduating from high school as a HOPE Scholar or by earning it while in college. The Zell Miller Scholarship Program is for students who have demonstrated academic achievement and that are seeking a college degree. Generally, to become eligible, a student must graduate from an eligible high school with a 3.70 GPA and a minimum score on the SAT/ACT. The Zell Miller Grant Program is for students seeking a technical certificate or diploma, regardless of the student’s high school grade point average or graduation date. To be eligible for the Zell Miller Grant, a student must earn and maintain a minimum 3.5 cumulative post-secondary GPA. The HOPE Career Grant, formerly known as the Strategic Industries Workforce Development Grant, is available to HOPE Grant-qualified students who enroll in select majors specifically aligned with one of 12 industries in which there are more jobs available in Georgia than there are skilled workers to fill them. Institutional Requirements:

• Attended at least one (1) semester at Atlanta Technical College.
• Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) as defined by the Office of Financial Aid.
• Please Note: Students in an SAP status of Warning or Approved Probation will not be certified.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater

The Student Access Loan (SAL) Program is for eligible students attending an eligible USG (University System of Georgia), Private or TCSG (Technical College System of Georgia) post-secondary institution in Georgia. The SAL is a 1% fixed-rate loan, designed to assist undergraduate and technical college students who have a gap in meeting their educational costs. Please review the SAL Loan requirements.

Their friendly counselors are there to help you every step of the way. For instance, if you fall behind on your KIT (Keep In Touch) payment, they can guide you where to go to get back on track. While you are in your grace period, they might reach out to you to answer questions you may have on your repayment options. If you become delinquent on your loans, they may also be giving you a call. They will not be collecting money from you but can navigate you to the GSFA pathway2gsfa web portal or perhaps auto-debit is right for you.
