Atlanta Technical College Receives Gift to Establish Allan Tanenbaum Family Fund

April 6, 2021

ATLANTA (April 2021) – Atlanta Technical College (ATC) has received a major gift from Elaine and Allan Tanenbaum. Mr. Tanenbaum is a former member of the ATC Foundation Board of Trustees and a long-time supporter of the College. This gift will establish the Allan Tanenbaum Family Fund to provide professional development opportunities and incentives for ATC’s Early Learning Center faculty and staff. The Early Learning Center seeks to help level the educational playing field for preschool students from our community. “Our family is honored to help support the Early Learning Center staff so that students can have the resources they need to chase their dreams,” said Mr. Tanenbaum.

“The Childcare Center opened with the mission of providing quality care and instruction to the children of our college’s students, faculty, and staff.  This has offered a quality daycare center for our community,” said ATC President Dr. Victoria Seals.  “The Tanenbaum’s gift will provide the means for Mr. Brian Bowers, our Center Director, and his team to continue providing excellent service and education opportunities for the youth of Metro Atlanta.”

Since its inception, the Atlanta Technical College Foundation has focused on the major goals of resource development, relationship building, and financial management of resources. A 501(c)3 non-profit, the Atlanta Technical College Foundation’s mission is to provide support to Atlanta Technical College and the programs and activities carried out by the College. Its purpose is to acquire, retain, invest, and administer funds exclusively for the benefit of Atlanta Technical College.
