Aviation Maintenance programs prepare individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to repair, service, and maintain all airframe components. Curriculum includes instruction in layout and fabrication of sheet metal, fabric, wood, and other materials into structural members, parts, and fittings, and replacement of damaged or worn parts such as control cables and hydraulic units. Graduates of the Aviation Maintenance Technology Airframe certificate program should be prepared to participate in FAA airframe examination and certification processes. Graduates of the Avionics Bench Technician certificate program are qualified to work on aircraft electronics in avionics repair stations and should be prepared to sit for the General Radio Operating License (GROL) exam.
